email providers and costs
subscriber.dev doesn't send email itself. Connect a provider and pay them directly for what you send, with no markup from us. Resend, Postmark, Amazon SES and Cloudflare Email are built in, and any SMTP server works. Need your data in the EU? Scaleway is the closest thing to SES there.
## providers
┌──────────────────┬──────────────┬────────────────────────────┬──────────┐ │ provider │ region │ price │ connects │ ├──────────────────┼──────────────┼────────────────────────────┼──────────┤ │ Amazon SES │ US, EU, Asia │ $0.10 per 1k │ built in │ │ Scaleway │ EU │ €0.25 per 1k │ SMTP │ │ Cloudflare Email │ global │ $0.35 per 1k after 3k │ built in │ │ Resend │ US, EU, more │ $20 for 50k │ built in │ │ SendGrid │ US, EU │ $19.95 for 50k │ SMTP │ │ Mailgun │ US, EU │ $15 for 10k, $35 for 50k │ SMTP │ │ Postmark │ US │ $15 for 10k, +$1.80 per 1k │ built in │ └──────────────────┴──────────────┴────────────────────────────┴──────────┘
Built-in providers pick up bounces and spam complaints and opt those people out automatically; over SMTP they aren't picked up. Cloudflare Email needs the $5 Workers Paid plan. Prices from each provider's pricing page, checked October 2026: Amazon SES, Scaleway, Cloudflare Email, Resend, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark.
## what a month costs
10,000 subscribers, each emailed 4 times a month (40,000 emails), on the growth plan at $39/mo.
┌──────────────────┬─────────┬────────────────┬─────────┐ │ provider │ sending │ subscriber.dev │ total │ ├──────────────────┼─────────┼────────────────┼─────────┤ │ Amazon SES │ $4/mo │ $39/mo │ $43/mo │ │ Scaleway │ $12/mo │ $39/mo │ $51/mo │ │ Cloudflare Email │ $18/mo │ $39/mo │ $57/mo │ │ Resend │ $20/mo │ $39/mo │ $59/mo │ │ SendGrid │ $20/mo │ $39/mo │ $59/mo │ │ Mailgun │ $35/mo │ $39/mo │ $74/mo │ │ Postmark │ $69/mo │ $39/mo │ $108/mo │ └──────────────────┴─────────┴────────────────┴─────────┘
Postmark is estimated from its overage rate; a larger plan may cost less. Cloudflare includes the $5 Workers Paid plan, and Scaleway's €10 is converted to dollars. Providers also charge for extras such as dedicated IPs.
